Sibedge opens an office in Saint Petersburg: technological expansion of the company

The pandemic did not interfere with the launch of the center as employees were hired remotely. Today, the center’s staff consists of 14 engineers. During the period of self-isolation, it was possible to carry out effective onboarding to help the employees immerse into the cultural and technological standards of Sibedge.

"It has become obvious that the readiness of clients to work in distributed and remote structures has increased. The pandemic has proven the effectiveness of this model. Opening a new office is our response to the changes and another step towards strengthening Sibedge's expertise in the global market. Today we work with companies from ten countries around the world. An office in Saint Petersburg will allow us to cover more time zones and get closer to our customers," said Alexander Kalinin, CEO of Sibedge.

Sibedge plans to partner with leading technical universities in St. Petersburg, cooperate with local IT communities and hold joint conferences and meetups. All this will strengthen the company's staff with young personnel and experienced experts, as well as provide them with knowledge transfer through the Sibedge Professional Competence Center.

Sibedge's new office is located at 10 Nevsky Prospekt, Saint Petersburg, Geneum business center. When choosing a location, we considered the wishes of our developers about logistics. The office space is organized in such a way as to ensure safe work in the face of a pandemic.

"We were looking for a high-class business center in one of the central districts of the city, located within walking distance from the subway. We managed to find the best option. We are sure that the comfort of the new office contributes to a good mood and efficient work of our employees," said Vladimir Shcherbinin, head of Sibedge Infrastructure Department.

Sibedge plans to increase its Saint Petersburg office staff by 50% by the end of 2020. The company has long-term plans to open two new foreign offices.
